The Senior Estimator will play a key role during the pre‑construction phase, delivering accurate cost estimates and helping ensure projects are delivered on budget and on programme. The role covers the full estimating and commercial process from tender stage through to handover.

Role Responsibilities
Managing all aspects of the Quantity Surveying and Estimating process
Producing accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects
Reviewing project drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
Managing and mentoring Assistant Estimators
Cost management and commercial oversight of projects
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and industry professionals
Preparing monthly payment applications and cost reports
Producing detailed bid submissions for management review
Monitoring project costs throughout tender stages to maintain competitiveness
Maintaining organised estimating records and supporting documentation
Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing
Identifying value engineering and cost‑saving opportunities
Assisting with risk analysis and contingency planning
Keeping up to date with market trends, materials, and construction methods
Candidate Requirements
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar
5-7+ years’ estimating experience within construction
Modular construction experience desirable but not essential
Strong commercial awareness and analytical ability
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tenders/projects simultaneously
Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
Strong understanding of cost control and commercial practices
Team player with ability to work independently when required
