Role OverviewImpact Engineering is supporting a pharmaceutical manufacturing organisation in Dublin to hire an Automation IT Systems Administrator on a contract basis.The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and managing production IT and OT infrastructure, including security, performance, configuration, maintenance, and repair. The role ensures optimal performance and availability of ICT infrastructure, systems, and key manufacturing processes, while also acting as an escalation point for issues and incidents.Reporting to the Site Automation Infrastructure Lead, the Automation IT Systems Administrator will join a team of specialists supporting automation and manufacturing operations within a highly regulated, GMP environment.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor and manage production IT and OT infrastructure to ensure system performance and availabilityBe solutions orientated, delivery focused, and proactive in supporting manufacturing operationsWork effectively both independently and as part of project teamsMaintain software and hardware in accordance with site standards and Good Engineering Practice in a continually audited environmentMonitor key OT systems and perform preventative maintenanceTroubleshoot and resolve technical issues across OT systemsSupport user account and access managementProvide technical support to Engineering and Operations teams for automated systemsSupport the department in being continuously audit and inspection readyContribute to documentation and SOPs associated with automated systemsDevelop technical knowledge of automation and OT systems across the siteSupport biannual and periodic system reviewsParticipate in automation continuous improvement initiativesProvide on-call support to manufacturing operationsCarry out additional activities as directed by the Site Automation OT LeadRequired Experience & SkillsMinimum of 3 years' experience supporting customers through a ticketing systemMinimum of 3 years' experience working in the life sciences industryExperience with Active Directory account administrationExperience with Microsoft Windows Server and Client operating systemsCore IT skills including:VirtualisationDatabase administrationNetworkingProgramming or scripting experience (C#, PowerShell, SQL) is an advantageSystems integration or interfacing experience on control systems and wider production systems is a plusExperience supporting DCS, SCADA, and benchtop systems in a manufacturing environment is an advantageRelevant technical qualifications (e.g. CompTIA, CCNA, DeltaV Systems Administration) or equivalent hands-on industry experience
