Job Description
Job Title: Inventory Analyst
This is a senior operational and analytical business role responsible for managing and improving inventory control procedures, stock reporting analysis, stocktake operations analysis, variance analysis, and cost‑control processes within the business.
The Inventory Analyst will perform an important commercial data analytics function and will work closely with finance teams, chefs, procurement, and venue management to ensure accurate reporting, effective stock management processes, and strong commercial performance across food and beverage operations. The role requires strong analytical capability, advanced reporting skills, systems knowledge, and the ability to lead and improve processes and procedures within a fast‑paced multi‑site hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the day‑to‑day inventory reporting and analysis function across multiple venues.
Plan, coordinate and manage monthly and ad‑hoc analysis of stock and inventory across operational departments.
Produce and present fortnightly cost analysis reports for senior management.
Conduct detailed stock variance investigations, identify discrepancies, wastage trends and implement corrective actions.
Analyse stock movement, purchasing trends, inventory valuation and gross profit margins to support commercial decision‑making.
Develop, maintain and improve stock and inventory procedures, systems and reporting processes based on data analytics to enhance operational efficiency and minimise loss and waste.
Manage supplier pricing records, purchasing data, invoice reconciliation and inventory databases.
Set and review minimum and maximum stock holding levels based on operational requirements and forecasting analysis.
Liaise directly with finance teams, procurement, chefs and venue management regarding stock performance and reporting accuracy.
Support budgeting, forecasting, audit preparation and operational reporting requirements.
Train and support operational teams on procedures and compliance standards.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Reporting To: Group Financial Controller / Senior Management Team.
Minimum annual remuneration: €36,605 per year.
Location of employment: 39/40 Dawson Street, Dublin 2, D02 PX20.
Hours of work: 39 hours per week.
