Smarttech247 are seeking a motivated Computer Science graduate to join our cybersecurity automation initiative. This two-year project will implement and optimise automation tools to enhance incident response, reduce manual workloads and improve operational efficiency across our cybersecurity teams.
This is a 24-month contract designed to support early-career professionals in building strong foundations and practical experience in the field.
Location: Cork, Ireland (Hybrid – 2–3 days on site per week)
Contract Type: Fixed-Term (24 Months)
Reports To: Head of Information Security & Automation
This role will work within the Security and Automation Department and will collaborate primarily with members of the department and with the Project Management Department.

Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the design, development, and deployment of automated workflows.
* Collaborate with cybersecurity analysts to understand use cases and translate them into automation playbooks.
* Integrate automation tools with existing security tools.
* Support testing, troubleshooting, and optimisation of automation scripts and connectors.
Required Skills & Experience
* Strong organisational and communication skills with high attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-moving environment.
* Proficient in MS Suite and comfortable learning new systems and processes.
* Available to commute to our Cork office 2–3 days per week.
