Your impact
Join our dynamic team of engineers and technicians, working on a diverse range of projects across the UK and Ireland. As a key member of our design team, you will You will be responsible for the production and technical management of quality engineering outputs. You will be developed to line manage other staff locally and become a valued part of one of our family trees and help develop and care for your direct reports.
You will be expected to attend progress meetings, public exhibitions, public inquiries as necessary and working in other offices may be necessary from time to time depending on projects.

We currently have opportunities within our Civil Engineering teams in Dublin & Cork for you to make your mark and influence the continuing growth of Jacobs as part of our innovative design team.

Here's what you'll need
* A Level 8 degree in Civil Engineering
* Attained Chartered Engineer status with Engineers Ireland or equivalent.
* Thorough understanding of Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) Publications, UK Design Manual for Roads and Bridge (DMRB) & Active Travel standards
* Proven technical experience of Major Highway, Local Road or Active Travel schemes and understanding of Health & Safety legislation
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage a challenging workload that may change at short notice.
* Ability to produce well-presented and accurate reports
* Experience of Design, Build Projects and Civils 3D proficient, and/or drainage design capabilities (WINDES or equivalent)
* Experience of Construction Supervision and Road Safety Auditing
* Basic knowledge of project management and contractual issues and knowledge of different contract types and procurement options
* Experience of Building Information Modelling (BIM)
