Job Description
Chutzpah 919 Newbridge Limited is seeking to recruit a Chef de Partie (Minimum 2 years experience) to join our restaurant at Newbridge Retail Park, Newbridge, Co. Kildare – a franchise of Camile Thai Restaurant. This is a full‑time, permanent position.
Annual remuneration: €36,605 per year. Average working hours per week: 39 hours. Address: Newbridge Retail Park, Unit 10, Athgarvan Rd, Newbridge, Kildare.
Key responsibilities include:
Food preparation and cooking of Thai/Indian cuisine as per Chutzpah 919 Newbridge Limited T/A Camile Newbridge’s menu and guidelines.
Food quality: Responsible for the preparation of all food sold from the shop, ensuring high standards are consistently met and using approved recipes.
Food margin: Assist the Head Chef in controlling the margin, purchasing from suppliers, stock control, first‑in first‑out systems, portion size and menu planning.
Cleaning: Operate the clean‑as‑we‑go policy, including personal cleaning duties.
Training: Support the Head Chef in training kitchen assistants to company standards and procedures.
Cooking: Participate in the preparation, cooking and serving of dishes to approved recipes only.
Relationship management: Maintain excellent working relationships with all levels and departments, including the Head Chef, shop manager, EHO and suppliers.
Health & Safety: Ensure HACCP regulations and health & safety practices are maintained at all times.
Policies and procedures: Implement and adhere to all policies determined by management.
Product development: Liaise with the Head Chef, executive chef and management in developing new menu ideas and train staff on new dishes.
Cost controls: Maintain food margins through correct portion control and keep equipment in good working order.
Professional standards:
Professional manner: Conduct all dealings with customers, co‑workers and management respectfully.
Brand representation: Adhere to appearance and behaviour guidelines as per the employee handbook.
Food safety: Ensure hygiene practices meet HACCP guidelines.
