About The Role
This role sits within the Capital Advisory division of CBRE. It’s an exciting opportunity for an individual with knowledge and experience of working in a financial organisation to join a world class division of a leading global real estate firm. The Senior Analyst will be part of a client facing team providing financial and capital advisory services including debt advisory, equity fundraising, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic advisory. The individual will develop wide-ranging analytical solutions for clients, supporting the team in the execution of market‑leading real estate transactions across investment and development deals.
What You’ll Do
Assist the senior team in client service engagements and mandate execution
Prepare high-quality documents including presentation decks, pitch books, information memoranda, transaction process documents and reports
Create bespoke financial models providing detailed financial analysis across all sectors of the real estate market, including for corporates, portfolios, single investments and development assets – modelling to include IRR benchmarking, cash flow waterfalls, and joint venture promotes
Refine and adapt existing financial models to provide tailored dashboards and sensitivity analysis in line with client specifications and to stress‑test investment hypotheses
Perform scenario analysis at portfolio and vehicle level to optimise the capital structure
Review corporate transaction and financing documentation including share purchase agreements, JV agreements, facility agreements, heads of terms, etc.
Analyse and conduct comprehensive financial due diligence including structure documents, financial reports, financial models and projections, and asset data
Research industry trends, global capital flows and dynamics and their implications for clients
Attend and present at client meetings with senior team members
Build knowledge of the property market (e.g. current activity, key players, trends) and the global investor landscape (PE, Sovereign Wealth, Pension Funds, etc.), including their commercial drivers and investment criteria
Maintain and update investor and lender CRM systems to track outreach and sentiment during fundraising campaigns
Liaise with other advisers (e.g. legal, accounting) and manage process timelines to ensure seamless transaction closing
Set up and manage Virtual Data Rooms (VDRs) for live transactions, ensuring all due diligence materials are organised, up-to-date, and accessible to potential investors
Coordinate and track investor Q&A during the due diligence phase, ensuring timely and accurate responses from the client and other advisors
Liaise with geographic, asset class and function specialist teams within CBRE
Understand corporate and asset‑level valuation techniques and approaches
Promote innovation and commitment to work process improvement
What You’ll Need
Chartered Accountant, CFA or Investment Bank Analyst Programme qualified, or equivalent preferred
Minimum of 2 years post‑qualification experience
Previous exposure to real estate businesses, assets, and vehicles is desirable
Corporate advisory project or transaction experience, ideally in the real estate sector
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, with strong cash‑flow modelling and analytical skills
Superior report writing skills (PowerPoint, Word)
Exceptional attention to detail and organisation
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Ability to prioritise and coordinate tasks efficiently ensuring all deadlines are met
Pro‑active and enjoys working autonomously and as part of a wider team
Confident and assertive where required
