Finance Service Management Lead
to join our Finance team.
In this role you will be responsible for overseeing Finance outsourced service delivery and ensuring seamless, high-quality services across multiple Finance domains.
This role plays a critical part in embedding strong service management discipline, effective vendor governance, and clear accountability for performance and outcomes.
Working closely with senior Finance Leaders, Process Owners, Strategic Partner, and wider stakeholders, the role will ensure service excellence is maintained while driving continuous improvement, operational resilience, and value realisation from outsourced and hybrid delivery models.
What you'll be doing:
Stakeholder Management and Satisfaction
Engage with senior leadership and strategic partner to align service delivery with strategic objectives.
Continuously gather feedback from Finance and business stakeholders to drive service excellence and improved user experience.
Define and agree Finance KPIs, ensuring performance is transparent and regularly reported to the Finance Leadership Team.
Define, maintain, and continuously update the Finance service delivered by the Strategic Partner
Identify new opportunities to extend or enhance outsourced services in line with business needs.
Ensure clarity and accessibility of service offerings for internal stakeholders across Finance and the wider organisation.
Vendor Management and Monitoring
Manage vendor performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and service outcomes are consistently met.
Drive continuous improvement and innovation through collaborative vendor relationships
Conduct and participate in vendor contract reviews and amendments, audits, track charges, and support commercial reviews.
Evaluate and evolve governance structures to ensure effective oversight and accountability.
Establish SLAs with clear service expectations and commitments.
Monitor and track SLA performance across all Finance process towers to ensure delivery meets or exceeds agreed standards.
Coach and support tower leads in managing SLA performance and vendor interactions.
Implement effective processes for request resolution, surge management, and mitigation planning.
Finance Transformation Support
Act as a key point of contact for gathering process improvement initiatives and feedback impacting Finance transformation.
Support the implementation of service changes resulting from transformation programmes and system evolution
Incident and Problem Management
Lead resolution of level 2 escalated service incidents and address root causes to prevent recurrence.
Support tower leads in adopting proactive problem management practices to enhance service reliability.
Ensure recurring issues and challenges in ways of working are identified, addressed, and resolved.
What we're looking for:
Significant experience working in a Finance service environment, ideally within a large or complex organisation.
Strong background in service management, performance monitoring, and vendor governance.
Demonstrated experience managing BPO or captive/offshore delivery models
Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships at senior levels.
Strong understanding of BPO contracts, commercial frameworks, and ways of working.
Experience delivering service excellence within Finance operations or shared services environments.
Strong leadership capability with the ability to influence without direct authority.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent.
Professional Finance qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) is desirable.
