Matrix Recruitment is recruiting for a EHS Manager on behalf of our client in the County Kildare area.
Permanent role/Hybrid working
You’ll play a key role in ensuring environmental, health & safety compliance across multiple operational sites. This is a hands‑on leadership role focused on driving continuous improvement, maintaining ISO standards, and promoting a strong safety culture within a leading waste management organisation.
Your new role
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure compliance with EPA licences, Waste Management Acts, and all Irish EHS regulations.
* Oversee environmental monitoring, audits, and maintain ISO 14001 / 45001 systems
* Lead risk assessments, investigations, and implement corrective actions.
* Promote a positive EHS culture through training, coaching, and engagement.
What You Need
* Degree in Environmental Science, Health & Safety, or Engineering.
* 5+ years’ experience in a similar EHS management role, ideally in waste management, transportation or heavy industry/similar.
* Compliance experience would be a plus.
* Strong working knowledge of Irish EHS legislation and ISO systems.
* Professional certification such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or IEMA desirable.
* Full clean driver’s licence and willingness to travel to multiple sites.
