Key Responsibilities
* Professional Cleaning: Perform all cleaning tasks in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and customer service.
* Carpet Maintenance: Vacuum carpets and wipe down drop tables to maintain a tidy and presentable cabin environment.
* Galley Cleaning: Use prescribed cleaning agents to thoroughly clean galleys, ensuring hygiene and safety compliance.
* Rubbish Removal: Remove rubbish and dispose of waste according to environmental policies.
* Toilet Maintenance: Clean and restock aircraft toilets, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and availability.
* In-Flight Amenities: Place magazine packs in seat pockets and replace headrest covers to enhance the passenger experience.
* Security Checks: Remain observant for suspicious items and report concerns to the appropriate authorities.
* Team Lead Coverage: Be prepared to cover the Team Lead role as needed to ensure seamless operations.
* Facility Reporting: Report facility defects (e.g., plumbing issues) to ensure timely maintenance and safety.
Essential Criteria
* Minimum Age: 18 years.
* Background Checks: Ability to complete a 5-year security background check and Garda vetting process.
* EU Eligibility: Eligible to live and work in the European Union.
* Language: Proficient written and verbal English.
* Rostered Shifts: Ability to work rostered shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
* Physical Capability: Ability to perform tasks requiring twisting, turning, bending, and handling items in confined spaces; strength and stamina as required.
* Punctuality and Attendance: Reliable and punctual with consistent attendance.
* Grooming & Uniform: Adherence to SHP grooming and uniform standards.
Desirable Criteria
* Operational Experience: Experience in an operational environment.
* Driving Licence: Full Clean Driving Licence, Category B.
* Manual Handling Certificate: Valid certificate in manual handling.
Contract and Hours
The role is a fixed-term, temporary contract with a six-month probation period. The pay rate is €14.50 (inclusive) per hour. Standard hours are 20 per week, with potential for additional hours to meet operational needs. Shift lengths vary from 4 to 10 hours and may include early starts and late finishes.
