Due to continued expansion of eir evo, we are now seeking to recruit an experienced Level 1 Service Desk Engineer who aims to become an integral part of our Managed Services Team, working on a dedicated customer team.
The successful candidate will work on and be exposed to different technologies, including Microsoft Servers, Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, VMWare, Citrix, Cloud (Azure), as well as the latest Microsoft applications & solutions.
**This role is a 3-month contract from 1st August until 31st October.**
The role would involve:
* Remote Monitoring and Management support and configuration of customers' infrastructure
* Provisioning accounts and equipment
* Remote and Desktop Support for customers throughout Ireland and internationally
* Supporting Windows Desktops, Outlook, Networks, MS Office, etc.
* Configuration of Microsoft Server, Exchange, Active Directory
* Maintaining and updating documentation
* Hardware troubleshooting
* Interacting with and managing third parties
* Application troubleshooting and support
* Imaging and deployment
* Managing file permissions and access rights
* Configuration and support of mobile devices
Experience
* 2+ years working in a technical support environment (required)
* Application support – 1st level
* Office and virtualization experience is advantageous
Preferred certifications and experience:
* Microsoft Specialist certification in Windows 10
* A Microsoft MCP for Client or Server OS
Successful candidates will gain exposure to:
