We are now seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Marina Dockhand to join our professional team.Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Assistance: Provide friendly, knowledgeable support to berth holders and visiting vessels, demonstrating a genuine enthusiasm for boats and boating.Marina Operations: Assist with daily marina duties, including berthing and unberthing vessels, dock maintenance, and site upkeep. This role involves manual handling and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.Fuel Services: Safely and accurately dispense marine fuel in line with all safety and environmental regulations.Maintenance & Presentation: Undertake general maintenance projects to ensure the marina facilities remain clean, safe, and well-presented.Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere to all relevant policies and procedures, including health and safety, environmental standards, fire precautions, and emergency response protocols.Independent Working: Perform tasks efficiently and safely, often unsupervised and in varying weather conditions.Candidate RequirementsCustomer Service Experience: Previous experience in a customer-facing role with a strong focus on service excellence.Organisation & Initiative: Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently and responsibly.Technical Competence: Basic computer literacy with the willingness to learn and use marina management systems.Health & Safety Awareness: A good understanding of safe working practices.Marine Knowledge: Familiarity with marine radio operations is a requirement.Qualifications: A recognised boating qualification—ideally RYA Powerboat Level 2 or equivalent—is highly desirable.Applicants must have the legal right to work in Ireland.Personal AttributesWe are looking for a reliable, professional, and proactive individual who takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of a team that upholds Dun Laoghaire Marina's exceptional customer service standards.Training & DevelopmentComprehensive training and on-site familiarisation will be provided.Equal OpportunitiesDun Laoghaire Marina is an equal opportunities employer.
