Role Overview
This position is with a well-established main contractor delivering a range of residential, commercial, and public works projects across Dublin. The successful candidate will be involved in supporting site engineering activities across multiple active projects within a busy construction portfolio.
Role & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Site Management Team, the successful candidate will support the coordination and delivery of engineering and setting out activities across multiple construction projects in South Dublin City.
Key responsibilities include:
Setting out and surveying for structural, architectural, and external works
Reviewing drawings, specifications, and technical documents for accuracy
Coordinating with subcontractors, site supervisors, design teams, and consultants
Monitoring project progress and attending site coordination meetings
Managing levels, layouts, and dimensional controls on site
Assisting with site logistics and sequencing to ensure efficient workflow
Identifying and resolving technical issues as they arise
Ensuring quality assurance procedures are maintained throughout the project
Supporting Health & Safety compliance and site standards
Maintaining accurate records, reports, and site documentation
Requirements
Minimum 2 years' experience in a Setting Out Engineer or Site Engineer role
Degree qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline
Strong technical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a project team
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Project and PowerPoint advantageous)
Experience with surveying equipment and setting out software is desirable
