Location
Dublin, Ireland (Citywest) with 3-5 days per month in the Northwest of Ireland office; occasional overnight stays as required.
Overview
Our clients, a multinational business with locations throughout Ireland, are looking for a Payroll Manager to be based in their Dublin 24 office. The Payroll Manager will report directly to the CFO and is responsible for managing the daily operations of the payroll function for the Group. Leading a team of six payroll professionals and working closely with a 3rd-party service provider, you will optimise payroll operations, ensure full compliance with Revenue regulations and maximise the value of the newly implemented payroll system.
Responsibilities
* Review the existing payroll setups across the group and implement a centralised payroll setup to cater for the full group.
* Ensure documented process notes are in place for all procedures.
* Put in place internal templates that can be used across the organisation.
* Ensure an appropriate control environment is in place in line with Plc best practice.
* Identify and recommend updates to payroll processing systems and procedures.
* Ensure payroll runs are processed accurately and on time for the group.
* Oversee the preparation of payroll-related documents.
* Put in place structures to ensure accurate processing and control for new starters, leavers, pay changes, and changes to personal information.
* Resolve issues related to payroll runs.
* Implement KPI tracking to monitor payroll function performance.
* Provide monthly/quarterly/annual reports to finance and HR within deadlines.
* Maintain payroll information and records in accordance with statutory requirements and support audits.
* Support the business Directors on ad hoc projects as required.
* Build a high-performing team to support integration of existing business units and ongoing growth.
* Manage the payroll team with objectives and succession planning.
The Person
* Previous experience in a senior payroll role, preferably with a Plc background.
* Experience with Time & Attendance systems.
* Proven experience managing a large-scale payroll operation in Ireland.
* Deep knowledge of PAYE, payroll compliance and Revenue reporting requirements.
* Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
* Success in implementing or optimising payroll systems.
* Strong analytical and reporting skills with the ability to interpret and present data.
* High integrity, discretion and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication, stakeholder management and project leadership skills.
* IPASS Qualification (or equivalent) and proficiency in Excel.
* Good understanding of payroll input to management accounts.
