About the Role
Focusing on our Sustainability strategy, you’ll define new Sustainability policies through close consultation with Buying Teams, Suppliers, and other external stakeholders. Your innovative suggestions will challenge the way we do things and pave the way for new ideas that reflect how our business is evolving. You’ll be responsible for helping us to develop and deliver ALDI’s National and International strategy with particular focus on our ‘Greener’ and ‘Healthier’ pillars.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver national Sustainability strategy, setting ambitious targets and influencing stakeholders in line with our goals and policies.
* Support the delivery of accurate Sustainability reporting against ALDI’s National and International action plans.
* Gather, analyse, and distribute information regarding sustainability.
* Perform research and horizon scanning on Sustainability related topics to identity industry trends and associated competitor activity and make recommendations.
* Build impactful relationships and work cross-functionally internally and with key external stakeholders to amplify our Sustainability objectives.
Essential Requirements
* Working knowledge of relevant (European and National) sustainability legislation and standards.
* Track record of rolling out new policies and procedural initiatives.
* Experience in a busy, deadline driven environment.
* Ability to multitask, leading different projects and working to changing priorities and tight timelines.
* Excellent verbal and written communication and administration skills.
Desirable Requirements
* Familiar with Global and National Sustainability initiatives in the FMCG industry and the Origin Green Programme.
* Proven track record of Sustainability in FMCG experience preferred Risk and Crisis management experience.
* Prior experience working with 3rd party agencies.
* Prior experience of working in a team environment.
* Impeccable attention to detail.
