* The key responsibilities of this position include ensuring that safety practices and procedures align with relevant legislation and standards.

* Conducting regular site audits, inspections, and observations to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with safety management systems.

* Ensuring accurate records are kept up-to-date for statutory inspections, plant equipment, and activities.
">
* Liaising with site supervision to address shortfalls, recommend improvements, and report back to the EHS manager.
">
* Investigating incidents and accidents, capturing information in the HSMS, and identifying corrective actions.
">
* Aiding in site inspection visits as required by the Health & Safety Authority.
">
* Developing and delivering health and safety induction programs for new employees and contractors.
">
* Managing personal protection equipment, recommending necessary items, and serving as a representative at H&S related meetings.
">
* Organizing and chairing safety meetings for contractor and sub-contractor personnel, reviewing safety statements, method statements, and RAMS.
">
* Compiling, updating, and communicating emergency plans and conducting site safety equipment inspections.
">
* Collecting and collating relevant information for the safety file and preparing for handover to the client.
">
* Liaising with management on training requirements and facilitating toolbox talks.
">
* Supporting ISO audit compliance and H&S assistance when required.
">
* Liaising with main contractors and site safety teams.
">
Requirements:
">
* Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
">
* Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction industry.

* Strong knowledge of safety legislation, standards, and best practices.
">
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
">
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
">
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
