Executive Solutionsis recruiting a National Account Manager (FMCG) for a leading distribution and brand management business representing some of the world's most recognised names.Operating across alcohol, confectionery, beverage, health & beauty, household, and more, this role focuses on one of their largest global client partnerships in Confectionery, Food, and Petcare.The business provides a full-service solution to its clients, covering Distributor Sales, Field Sales Services, Supply Chain, and Marketing.This position sits within the Distributor Sales division, managing a diverse customer base including Forecourt Retail, Discount Retail, Wholesale, Specialist Pet Retail, Foodservice, Out of Home, and Healthfoods (note: no Grocery Multiple accounts).The RoleThe Key Account Manager will be the commercial lead for this high-profile client portfolio, responsible for driving sales growth, leading a commercial account team, and ensuring exceptional client service.You'll balance strategic account planning with hands-on relationship management, acting as the key link between the brand owners and the customer network.Key ResponsibilitiesRelationship ManagementBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients and customers.Lead, coach, and develop a small commercial account team.Act as the key commercial contact, resolving issues and maximising opportunities.Sales & Business DevelopmentDevelop and deliver strategies to achieve ambitious sales targets.Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities.Collaborate cross-functionally across Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance.Account Planning & ForecastingFull Distributor P&L and volume forecast responsibility.Budget management and accurate sales forecasting.Analyse market trends and competitor activity to inform strategy.Negotiation & Contract ManagementNegotiate pricing, promotional plans, and contracts.Monitor compliance and resolve contractual matters.Performance Tracking & AnalysisMonitor KPIs and sales performance.Utilise Excel and PowerBI for data-driven decision-making.About You3rd level qualification or equivalent FMCG sales/account management experience.Proven success managing large, complex accounts in the FMCG sector.Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team.Commercially astute with negotiation expertise.Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.High proficiency in Excel and PowerBI.Full clean driver's licence; hybrid role with office & field work.
