Staff Nurse Position
We are seeking a skilled Staff Nurse to join our team at Riverview Intellectual Disability Service.
* The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a genuine interest in working with clients, and current registration with An Bord Altrainis.
* A minimum of 1st level nursing experience is required, along with knowledge of HIQA standards and previous supervisory experience.

Main Responsibilities
1. Care: Ensure that all staff members contribute to the efficient running of the service and create an atmosphere conducive to the best interests of the clients.
2. Reporting: Report any ill health amongst clients and make requests for G.P / Professional visits where necessary.
3. Care Plans: Ensure that clients' care plans are completed and maintained in conjunction with clients, relatives, and other healthcare professionals, and in accordance with An Bord Altranais guidelines and company policy.
4. Assessments: Assess all aspects of clients' care needs, and provide health supervision and direct nursing care when required.
5. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records and ensure that each client within the service has an individualised care plan.
In addition to the above responsibilities, the successful candidate will also be expected to participate in staff and client meetings, establish and maintain good communication with clients, relatives, and the multidisciplinary team, and promote safe working practices within the service.
