Job Title: Senior Occupational Therapist
Contract Type: Permanent, Full time 35 hours per week

We are delighted to offer a permanent Senior Occupational Therapist position in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary. This is an exciting opportunity to secure a pensionable, permanent role within a supportive Children’s Disability Network Team.

The Role
Excel Healthcare are recruiting a Senior Occupational Therapist to join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team of Therapists, social workers, and Psychologists. You will be part of a dynamic and supportive environment, providing assessment, planning, intervention, and review of occupational therapy programmes.
Your caseload will focus on supporting children (ages 0–18) with sensory and physical disabilities. You will work collaboratively with the team to deliver needs-based, outcome-focused care guided by the Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP). Regular training, supervision, and opportunities for career development are provided.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide assessment, planning, intervention, and review of occupational therapy programmes tailored to children and families
* Deliver needs-based, outcome-focused care guided by the Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP)
* Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure coordinated care and goal setting
* Maintain professional standards in assessment, documentation, reporting, and service delivery
* Uphold best practice in line with HSE policies, HIQA standards, and Progressing Disabilities Programme
* Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion in practice and the workplace
Qualifications & Experience
* BSc in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent recognised qualification)
* CORU registration as an Occupational Therapist
* Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience
* Membership (or eligibility) of the Irish Association of Occupational Therapists (IAOT)
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Full driving licence and access to a car
