Future Connections Programme Co-ordinator
Stewarts Care is a long-established voluntary organisation, funded by the HSE under Section 38.
We support people with intellectual disabilities through residential care, day services, independent living, job advocacy, and vocational training.
Purpose of the Post
Reporting to the Director of Care, Day Services, the Future Connections Programme Co-ordinator will, on a permanent contract, lead and manage the Future Connections training programme funded by the HSE under RT funding.
The role supports young adults to engage with education and training through inclusive, person-centred, and flexible learning pathways.
This includes the design, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement of person-centred RT supports that enable young people with an intellectual disability to develop skills, increase independence, and access meaningful community participation in line with New Directions.
Experience and Qualifications
A CORU approved Level 8 Degree in Social Care or a minimum of two years' experience in Social Care with a application in progress for CORU through the Grandparenting Scheme.
Experience and/or qualifications in Adult Education, Second Level Teaching, Special Needs Education, Psychology, or Training is preferable.
A QQI, Level 6 Training Qualification is desirable.
Demonstratable experience of planning and delivery of QQI accredited training programmes.
Minimum of 3 years' experience working in the area of intellectual disability.
Minimum of 1 year leadership and staff management experience and the ability to demonstrate this.
Strong person-centred vision in the development of programmes in the community.
Postgraduate qualifications in management are desirable.
A full clean driving licence is desirable.
Detailed knowledge of the sector, national policies and standards guiding the service.

Salary
In line with the Department of Health consolidated pay scales, the current salary range is Social Care Leader, €56,915 – €66,465 per annum (including LSI per annum).
