Job Summary:
Senior Accounting Professional
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for leading the preparation and review of financial statements, tax filings, and other critical tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the preparation and review of year-end accounts, management accounts, VAT returns, and tax filings
* Maintain strong relationships with clients through regular advisory touchpoints
* Act as the key technical resource for complex tax and compliance matters
* Provide strategic advisory services, including cash flow planning and profit improvement
Team Leadership & Development:
* Manage and mentor junior and intermediate staff, conducting reviews and training
* Uphold high standards through structured processes and quality control
* Cultivate a growth-oriented team culture with open collaboration
Practice Development & Strategy:
* Work with partners to identify new business opportunities and enhance internal systems
* Contribute to business development efforts—proposals, onboarding, and service innovation
* Drive workflow efficiency using cloud tools such as Surf, Relate, Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks
Requirements:
* ACA / ACCA / CPA qualified (or equivalent)
* Minimum 4 years' recent experience in an Irish accountancy practice
* Strong technical knowledge of Irish GAAP, Corporation Tax, Income Tax, and VAT
* Proven experience managing both a team and a client portfolio
* Proficiency in cloud and traditional accounting platforms
* Solid skills in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and document management systems
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Commercially aware with a high level of attention to detail
