Job Title: Expert Automation Technician
We are seeking a skilled Automation Technician to join our team in a growing manufacturing operation.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with sophisticated automation, robotic platforms, and control technologies to ensure high-volume production runs efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
* Install, service, and troubleshoot automated production machinery, robotic equipment, and control systems.
* Identify and repair issues across electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC-driven equipment.
* Carry out planned and reactive maintenance to reduce downtime and improve equipment performance.
* Support the commissioning, integration, and validation of new automated systems, including programming modifications and system setup.
* Collaborate with engineering and production on new product introduction activities and ongoing process optimisation.
* Ensure all equipment meets regulatory, safety, and environmental requirements, including ISO standards.
Requirements:
* A Level 6 or higher qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a closely related field.
* At least 2 years' experience working with automation in a manufacturing setting; experience within injection moulding or medical devices is a strong advantage.
* Good working knowledge of PLC platforms, robotics, sensing technologies, and vision systems.
* Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
* Ability to work a 4-cycle shift pattern.
