Job Title: Truck Driver (Rigid) (Category C Licence) Location: Fonthill Road, Dublin Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Work Schedule: Monday to Friday (Day shifts only) Salary: €41,600 per annum Training: Full training provided Role Overview We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver (Rigid) to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis in Dublin.
This role involves the safe and efficient transportation of goods to designated delivery locations, with an average of 3-4 drops per day.
Once all scheduled drops are completed, the working day is finished.
The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a rigid truck, ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining accurate documentation, and upholding the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities Safely operate a rigid truck in compliance with all road traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies Transport goods efficiently to assigned delivery locations within scheduled timeframes Complete 3-4 delivery drops per day Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any defects or issues Perform basic vehicle maintenance and minor repairs when required Load and unload cargo safely, ensuring goods are secured and handled correctly Maintain accurate and complete delivery documentation and records Communicate effectively with the logistics and dispatch team regarding routes, schedules, and any delays Represent the company professionally when interacting with customers Ensure adherence to delivery schedules and company service standards Qualifications & Requirements Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) (Category C Licence) Clean driving record Proven experience operating and maintaining commercial trucks (rigid vehicle experience preferred) Strong understanding of road safety regulations and traffic laws Good time management and organizational skills Ability to work independently and manage daily delivery schedules Strong attention to detail, particularly with delivery paperwork and inspections Good communication skills for liaising with dispatchers, logistics teams, and customers Ability to carry out basic vehicle repairs and maintenance What We Offer Competitive annual salary of €41,600 Monday to Friday working week - no weekend work Predictable routes with a manageable number of daily drops Early finish once daily deliveries are completed Full training and onboarding provided Stable, full-time employment with a well-established operation Supportive logistics and management team Skills: C Licence CPC Tacho
