Director of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality
About the Role:
Our business aims to reduce waste, avoid pollution, and prevent unnecessary use of finite natural resources.
You will lead a culture that prioritizes health and safety, empowering employees to take action when required. Your role is to develop proactive hazard risk management systems, monitoring safety, health, environmental quality, and corporate risk with the ultimate goal of hazard control and zero injuries.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop strategic plans for health, safety, environment, and quality to meet current and future business needs.
* Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and business strategies.
* Lead, support, and coach the team to deliver their roles effectively.
* Implement safety policies and programs, including training processes and procedures.
* Research market developments and identify approaches that add value to the business.
* Implement audits and reviews to ensure industry-standard service levels are met.
* Effectively maintain accident report files and incident investigations.
* Communicate lessons learnt across the business.
Requirements:
* 5+ years experience in a similar role with a track record of leading health and safety culture transformations.
* NEBOSH Diploma level or relevant degree in Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental Management.
* Understanding of ISO Standards and auditing experience.
* Experience managing a geographically spread team with strong leadership skills.
* Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
* Financial literacy and Microsoft Office skills.
