We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Manager to lead our team in providing exceptional care and support to our residents. As an Assistant Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for supporting the Director of Nursing in the day-to-day clinical and operational management of the nursing home.

Main Responsibilities:

* Clinical Management: Assist the Director of Nursing in leading and supervising the delivery of person-centred, evidence-based nursing care.
">
* Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with HIQA standards, national health policies, and all relevant legislation.
">
* Infection Prevention and Control: Oversee infection prevention and control measures and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
">
* Staff Management: Support, supervise, and mentor nursing and care staff, promoting professional development.
">
* Quality Improvement: Participate in recruitment, rostering, performance appraisals, and team leadership.
">

* Audit and Compliance: Assist with audits, inspections, and quality improvement initiatives, deputising for the DON as required.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
">
">
* Qualifications: Registered General Nurse (RGN) with active registration required.
">
* Experience: Minimum of 3 years post-registration experience in nursing management or a similar aged care setting.
">
* Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of HIQA Standards, the National Standards for Residential Care Settings for Older People in Ireland, and relevant legislation.
">
* Leadership: Leadership training and/or a management qualification is desirable.
