Electrical Day Technician
Location: Clondalki, Dublin.
Hours: Monday-Thursday 07:*****:00, Friday 07:*****:30.
Permanent contract.
Overview
The Lead Technician will be trained in all processes and techniques across predictive maintenance, CMMS (Pemac), reliability techniques, HV and LV distribution, turbines, boilers, compressors, diesel generators, pumps and fuel oil storage and distribution systems.
Responsibilities
Coordinate day-to-day work with shift technicians on-site, particularly morning shift changeover.
Serve as the point of contact for service providers.
Conduct troubleshooting and high-level investigations of utility plant equipment faults, performing root-cause analysis.
Maintain compliance and quality engineering records, investigating deviations on utility plant and equipment.
Carry out planned preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance as required.
Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are completed on time.
Develop maintenance plans, job plans and standard operating procedures for plant equipment.
Liaise with the site planner regarding spare-part requirements.
Review the maintenance programme periodically to optimise uptime.
Support and comply with all safety procedures.
Provide leadership and mentoring to the team in resolving complex plant deviations and failures.
Assist the Site Engineer and HV Engineer in root-cause analysis of plant failures, proposing corrective actions.
Support capital improvement projects on utility systems, including commissioning and hand-over to operations.
Plan and execute complex utility service isolations for maintenance, projects and client works.
Identify, develop and, if approved, implement continuous-improvement measures to enhance plant efficiency and working practices.
Understand actions to be taken during serious service outages and support plant resumption or backup systems.
Exhibit knowledge of HV and LV distribution, electrical generators, boilers, fuel oil storage, and industrial gas installations.
Qualifications
Analytical mindset.
Experience with Six Sigma or Lean methodologies (preferred).
Craft-qualified electrician with previous experience in energy conversion and distribution.
Experience in HV and LV distribution, turbine, diesel generator, boiler and fuel oil storage systems.
Ability to make decisions regarding plant operation, equipment suitability, and emergency response.
Strong leadership skills, capable of mentoring the team.
Familiarity with CMMS systems.
Willingness to continuously improve knowledge and understanding of complex mechanical systems.
