Associate Operations Supervisor - Additive Manufacturing (Cork)

Summary

Due to continued growth, we currently have an opening for an Associate Operations Supervisor to join our dynamic team at our Stryker Anngrove facility in Cork, one of the most innovative, modern, and technologically advanced manufacturing sites in the global Stryker network. Here, you will have the opportunity to inspire, lead, and mentor diverse teams across the site.

Responsibilities

* Lead a production team to ensure targets/KPIs for quality, service, costs, and people development are achieved.
* Communicate and deploy quality standards and expectations. Achieve quality standards and objectives such as rework, scrap, line clearance, QA audits, and cell/value stream shutdowns.
* Manage and prioritize production to meet customer requirements and maintain inventory levels. Communicate and manage output levels.
* Set team and individual members up for success through training, coaching, feedback, and support.
* Create a positive employee relations environment and foster high engagement within the production and cross-functional teams.
* Provide timely feedback and reviews, addressing performance issues constructively and promptly.
* Facilitate open communication regarding individual, team, and company performance via weekly meetings and daily line interactions to optimize efficiency and productivity.
* Liaise with training to develop and implement training programs and plans.
* Participate in the selection and hiring of Production Operators.
* Maintain GMP / 6S standards within the department involving all team members.
* Ensure compliance with Time and Attendance systems and plan for annual leave and overtime effectively.
* Provide leadership for the advancement of Lean Manufacturing principles.
* Perform all other duties as assigned.

What you need

* Degree or Master’s in Business, Production Management, Engineering, or a similar discipline, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
* Minimum 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.
* Broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures in a production environment.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, consulting with leaders on unusual matters.
* Demonstrated leadership skills to work with people and set direction within a cross-functional team.
* Excellent computer skills in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
* Good knowledge of GMP / FDA regulatory requirements, housekeeping, health, and safety standards.
* Genuine interest in investing in people and facilitating individual and team engagement and development.
* Ability to coach, provide effective feedback, and manage performance.
* Experience with problem-solving methodologies and process knowledge is desirable.
* Ability to interpret and analyze information and translate it into operational actions.
* Excellent influencing and communication skills.
