We are currently hiring a CNM2 – Medical/Surgical Ward for a leading hospital in Dublin, Ireland.

Hours: 37.5 per week Medical Areas: Respiratory, Cardiology Surgical Areas: General Surgery, Urology, ENT, Vascular Responsibilities Provide strong professional and clinical leadership, ensuring the highest standards of patient care using evidence-based practice.
Oversee clinical operations within the assigned area, maintaining a visible presence and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
Manage and support nursing staff, promoting teamwork, morale, mandatory training compliance, and effective communication.
Lead and participate in quality improvement initiatives, including monitoring complaints, auditing, and maintaining nursing standards and policies.
Ensure accurate, complete documentation and uphold best-practice guidelines, protocols, and infection-prevention standards.
Participate in recruitment, workforce planning, and optimal allocation of nursing and support staff based on service needs and workload.
Collaborate with patients, families, multidisciplinary teams, and external healthcare providers to support effective care planning and referrals.
Maintain high standards of clinical governance, risk management, and equipment safety within the unit.
Assess, identify, and support staff training needs; facilitate education, teaching, learning opportunities, and student placements.
Take responsibility for personal professional development through ongoing education, skill enhancement, and participation in relevant programmes Requirements Registered in the General Division of NMBI.
Minimum 5 years post-registration experience, including 2 years of recent acute care experience.
A relevant management qualification or experience is desirable.
