Solution Architect - 2 open positions6 months Initial Contract Role (Possibility of Extension)Hybrid Working in Abbey Street, Dublin 1 - 2 days onsiteThe role is for an experienced Solution Architect to support the planning, design, and delivery of applications for key projects within the Client business strategy.These applications are mission‑critical, providing policy administration, customer services, and work management.They consist of a mix of on‑premise and cloud‑hosted solutions using a variety of technologies.The strategic direction for new applications is to buy or build in the cloud.The ideal candidate would have experience designing applications with these technologies:Azure PaaSParticularly serverless APIs and Application IntegrationWebLogic & Tomcat Hosted Java applicationsIIS Hosted C# applicationsOracle and SQL Server databasesWindows, AIX and Linux Operating SystemsJob Scheduling tools for Batch operationsAutomated DevOps PipelinesAutomated QA test tools for APIs and User InterfacesThe candidate should have:Proven experience delivering distributed solutions in enterprise environments, ideally in Financial Services.Strong background in integration patterns and application engineering across on‑prem, hybrid cloud, and public cloud deployment models.The ability to work with business stakeholders to translate requirements into high-level designs focused on delivering business value.Experience producing high-level estimates to support business casesAbility to produce high quality architecture and designs taking into accountStandards and best practicesSecurity needs for applications processing financial and medical dataThe corporate risk appetiteCommercials including Total Cost of OwnershipExperience bringing designs through governance processes for review and approval.Experience supporting Agile development teams including providing oversight to ensure alignment with standards and best practices.Excellent collaboration, communication, and influencing skills.
