13 Months, Specific Purpose, Whole-Time Post Position Summary The Statistics, Data & Analysis Unit (SDAU) of the CRF-UCC supports patient-focus research in the areas of study design, study conduct, data management, data analysis and reporting.
The development and deployment of electronic data capture (EDC) tools, including REDCap, are central to these supports.
To meet growing demand in this area we are pleased to open applications for the position of Information Systems Manager.
The successful applicant will work within the SDAU and contribute to selecting, developing and deploying information technology (IT) solutions.
They will contribute to the development of the CRF-UCC's research computing infrastructure and serve as the primary link to UCC IT Services.
This position will be responsible for implementation, maintenance and development of EDC supports underpinning patient-focused research that enable efficient and compliant data capture processes.
This role involves collaborating with researchers, data managers, statisticians, UCC research computing personnel and other stakeholders to support EDC-related needs.
The successful candidate will have excellent IT and communication skills, experience of software support in a networked environment and experience deploying new technology solutions within a research setting.
You will also need be able to work with colleagues from a diverse variety of research backgrounds and to develop and deliver solutions which are both practical and effective.
This position would suit a self-motivated, creative individual with a customer-focused approach to research computing.
