Your roleAs a member of the UBS ESE ORC team and embedded into UBS ESE Group Compliance Regulatory and Governance (GCRG), the Head of UBS ESE Ireland Risk Management will be located in Dublin and will directly report to the Head of UBS ESE ORC and locally to the Head of UBS ESE C&ORC Luxembourg & Nordics.We're looking for someone to:provide independent review and challenge to the UBS ESE Ireland Branch first line of defense in the execution of the UBS ESE Non-Financial Risk Framework Componentsbe responsible for undertaking the due diligence reviews from a risk management standpoint towards parties serviced within UBS ESE Ireland Branch, including but not limited to the supervision of the sub-custodians, in line with the applicable set of laws and regulations.early and proactive identification, assessment, and reporting of risks; as well as providing independent advice to the local and functional Management, via dedicated reports and/or attending management committees/risk fora, on risks mitigation measuressupport the design, implementation and maintenance of an effective UBS ESE Ireland Branch end-to-end risk governance framework including a holistic approach to risk control and reportingcomplete independent review of local and UBS ESE Change the Bank Initiativesmaintain understanding of legal and regulatory developments and their impact on UBS ESE Ireland Branch business operations and support related to regulatory initiativesmaintain the highest standards of conduct and integrity (Head of Risk will hold the PCF 14 role) and ensure compliance with accepted industry practice, company policies and regulatory requirementsthe ability to promote the development of a risk culture within the business and ensure business line accountability for risk management and measurementJob TypePart TimeJob Reference #328616BRCityDublinYour teamThe purpose of the UBS ESE ORC function is to ensure that Operational risk (as a sub-category of Non-Financial Risks) is understood, owned and managed to UBS ESE's risk appetite and regulatory guidance, and to support the ORC vision, to be an industry leading function in the effective oversight of Operational risk management, helping to drive sustainable performance and the right outcomes for our clients, markets and people. ORC provides independent oversight, challenge and control over the Operational risk arising from UBS ESE's business activities. This includes challenging that necessary underlying (Business Divisions and/or Group Functions) frameworks are operating effectively across the Non-Financial Risk Taxonomy, proactively identifying, and analysing risks and providing constructive feedback to achieve an appropriate balance between risk and return.Your expertisedemonstrable experience of at least 10 years in Non-Financial Risks management and/or control functions in banking/depositary services.
