Roles open in Cavan Cork Louth Meath Kildare Wicklow Residential Respite Adults Children Intellectual Disabilities An excellent healthcare group providing Residential and respite services for adults and children with intellectual disability, autism or acquired brain injury are currently recruiting Social Care Workers for services in Cavan, Wicklow, Cork, Meath, Dublin South, Louth and Kildare The successful candidate requires: We are recruiting qualified Social Care Workers to provide care and support to individuals with Intellectual Disabilities, Acquired Brain Injuries (ABI), and Autism.
These roles involve working in residential, respite, and day service settings to promote independence, dignity, and person-centred care.
Job type: Permanent, Full-time Work schedule: Shift work including evenings, weekends and overnight stays Key Responsibilities: Provide person-centred care to meet the practical, physical, and emotional needs of service users.
Assist service users with daily living activities, promoting their independence and achieving personal goals.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (MDT) to deliver high-quality care.
Act as a key worker for residents and support the development and implementation of person-centred plans.
Promote community participation and social inclusion for service users.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
Maintain accurate records of care and financial management.
Supervise and support staff as required, ensuring effective communication within the team.
Requirements: A Level 7 qualification in Social Care, Social Work, Youth Work, Nursing, Teaching, Childcare with disability modules, or a related discipline.
A minimum of 1 year of experience working in a residential setting with people with disabilities.
Knowledge of Person-Centred Planning, National Disability Standards (HIQA), and the Social Care model of service delivery.
Strong communication, adaptability, and leadership skills.
Desirable: Experience working with individuals with Intellectual Disabilities or Acquired Brain Injuries.
Familiarity with quality assurance practices in disability services.
