Quality is a Core Value of what we do.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for maintaining the Mechanical Quality Management SystemTake ownership for the quality delivery of projects, ensuring that all client specifications are met, by accurately developing and executing Jones Engineering project quality plans & ITPsLead the quality ethos for projects, ensuring that Jones Engineering is the best it can be everyday everywhereLead the quality ethos for projects through a “Right First Time” approach. This will be conducted through delivering training, quality toolbox talks, developing and approving “First of a Kind” mock-ups, and auditing and QA initiativesManagement of a Quality team including Field QA, Test Pack Engineers, NDT Specialists and Commissioning & Handover SupervisorsManagement of the applicable Jones Engineering database for each project; ensuring it is kept up to date and accurate, which will deliver the handover documentation to the clientReview benchmarks and First of a Kind InstallationsOverseeing the development of system and equipment test packs using Project Quality Management Software on a project-by-project basisLiaise with the client on handover documentation, system handover and MC datesLiaise with the construction teams regarding handover dates, scheduling walk downs, developing snag lists, monitoring snag trends and addressing them through construction teamsInstallations for Compliance to Jones Project Specific Quality Plan & ITPs, Project standards, specification, design, procedures & expectationsManage 3rd party inspections & NDT contractors to ensure project requirements are metEnsure QA requirements are met by subcontractors; conduct regular site quality auditsAttend quality meetings with management and subcontractors and report on quality as requiredLiaise with other in-house specialist Mechanical QA/QC Leads as requiredSkills and RequirementsRelevant mechanical/quality qualificationMinimum 5+ years’ experience in a similar roleKnowledge of Hygienic Piping Installation essential, including ASME codesKnowledge of Pharmaceutical Piping Systems and associated P&IDs essentialKnowledge of orbital welding equipment and weld proceduresFormal European Welding Inspection Qualification required, Minimum CSWIP 3.1Further Quality Inspection qualifications would be advantageous, e.g., Paint & CoatingsKnowledge of Microsoft Office essential, plus use of large QA database systems such as EidaExperience working with Quality software would be advantageousExcellent communication and interpersonal skills essentialInterested parties should apply here and/or mail colinodonnell@joneseng.comBenefitsWe offer a competitive salary package commensurate with experience and qualifications.
