The Ireland Head of Financial Reporting
The Ireland Head of Financial Reporting is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department. The overall objective of this role is to ensure the seamless delivery of activities associated with Financial Reporting.
Responsibilities
Leadership & People Management: Lead, manage, and foster the professional development of a high‑performing team, including performance management and strategic workforce planning.
Client Relationship Management: Build strong relationships, fostering growth, and effectively resolving escalations.
Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships, foster growth, and effectively resolve escalations with global internal cross‑functional teams, and external parties.
Financial Reporting Delivery: Ensure high-quality, timely client deliveries.
Operational Escalation: Act as the Senior escalation point for critical operational queries and complex issues.
Risk & Compliance: Implement and maintain robust risk management, internal controls, and quality standards, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Technical: Be a technical leader in Financial Reporting for Irish funds.
Process Optimization: Have an inquisitive mindset, drive and champion continuous process improvement initiatives, to enhance operational efficiency, quality, and cost‑effectiveness.
Qualifications
Relevant experience
Chartered Accountant, or equivalent, preferred
Experience within financial markets and fund accounting
Experience in financial services, client management, project management, strategic management, operational management, and resource and expense management
Experience with people management and working with multiple stakeholders
Advanced knowledge of accounting concepts, financial services, and global financial markets
Experience of Multifonds, InvestOne, DFin, Unity, NXT beneficial to role
Education
Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
