Due to continued expansion of eir evo, we are now seeking to recruit an experienced Desktop Support Engineer to become an integral part of our Managed Services Team. This role involves working on a dedicated team for a prestigious client, supporting an evolving and multi-technology IT environment.
The successful candidate will gain exposure to various technologies, including Microsoft Servers, Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, VMWare, Citrix, Cloud (Azure), and the latest Microsoft applications & solutions.
The role involves:
1. Monitoring, managing, and supporting the customer’s infrastructure
2. Provisioning accounts and equipment
3. Providing desktop support for customers
4. Supporting Windows Desktops, Outlook, Networks, MS Office
5. Configuring Microsoft Server, Exchange, Active Directory
6. Maintaining and updating documentation
7. Hardware troubleshooting
8. Interacting with and managing third-party vendors
9. Application troubleshooting and support
10. Imaging and deployment
11. Managing file permissions and access rights
12. Configuring and supporting mobile devices
Experience:
* At least 1 year working in a technical support environment
* Application support at 1st level
* Support for Windows Servers, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, MS Office at Level 1
* Experience with Office and Virtualization is advantageous
* Customer service and call handling skills
Preferred certifications and experience include:
* Microsoft Specialist certification in Windows 10
* Microsoft MCP for Client or Server OS
* CompTIA A+
* CompTIA Net+
