Role Overview:
We are hiring on behalf of one of our clients, a leading global player in the AI space. This remote, part-time contract role requires deep domain expertise in Philosophy and History. You will be responsible for training AI models to handle complex abstract reasoning, historical analysis, and academic writing. Your goal is to ensure the AI can discuss philosophical frameworks and historical events with accuracy, nuance, and intellectual rigor.
Key Responsibilities:
* Create original, expert-level writing samples (essays, summaries, dialogues) covering various philosophical schools of thought and historical periods.
* Evaluate AI-generated content for factual accuracy, checking dates, names, events, and causal relationships against reliable historical records.
* Assess the logical validity and coherence of AI arguments when discussing philosophical concepts (e.g., ethics, metaphysics, epistemology).
* Identify and correct "hallucinations," anachronisms, or oversimplifications in the AI's understanding of complex humanities subjects.
* Design complex prompts to stress-test the model's ability to synthesize information from multiple historical sources or philosophical texts.
Qualifications:
* Advanced academic background (Masters or PhD preferred) in Philosophy, History, or a closely related Humanities discipline.
* Exceptional academic writing skills with the ability to explain complex abstract concepts clearly.
* Strong research skills and a commitment to factual accuracy; ability to verify information using primary and secondary sources.
* Critical thinking skills to analyze arguments for logical fallacies and bias.
* Comfortable working independently in a remote environment, managing time across multiple projects.
Compensation and Benefits:
* Rate:
Earn up to $18 USD/hr (Rates vary based on project complexity and expertise).
* Flexibility:
100% remote with no fixed schedule. Contributors typically spend 5–10 hours per week, with the option to work up to 40 hours.
