That`s why we are always looking for curious minds that see themselves imagining the unimaginable with us.The RoleTo transfer & implement testing of new chromotaography membranes, support the development and validation of new chromotagraphy product lines in Cork.Duties and responsibilitiesAdhering to all company EHS guidelines and procedures with proactive involvement in laboratory safety initiatives.Leverage specialized knowledge and analytical skills to solve complex problems.Operation of bench top chromatography system used for the purification of proteins.Characterization of protein solution impurities using ELISA assays.The development, transfer, and execution of quality control protocols to support the manufacturing of chromatography products.Develop QC knowledge documents on test methods for new chromatography products.Report activities & results. Drafting and execution of validation protocols for new test methods & issuing of quality reports.Raising and Co-ordination of change controls for the introduction of new analytical test methods and equipment.Sourcing, purchasing and qualifying of new laboratory equipment.Carrying out EHS and quality risk assessments of new test methods and equipment.Drafting and coordinating approval of new test method SOPs and related documentation.Ensure coordination with project managers, technical lead and management through good communication.Correct use and maintenance of various laboratory equipment.Performing routine checks and calibration of laboratory equipment.Set-up of all laboratory equipment in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.Accurate preparation of all solutions required to support testing of product.Training of colleagues in the use of laboratory equipment and procedures in the Analytical Services laboratories.Performing laboratory validation and non-routine testing.Maintaining laboratory inventory levels.Performing other R&D duties as required.Who You AreB.Sc. in Analytical chemistry, Biochemistry or equivalentMinimum of 5 years practical laboratory experience in quality control environmentPrevious experience with working in quality control laboratory environment.Experience with the analytical characterization of protein solutions and porous chromatography materials is highly desirable.Thorough, practical and persistent self-starter.Strong motivation.Exhibits strong verbal and written communication skills, ensuring clear and concise information sharing with team members and stakeholders.Strong leadership skills.Proactively identifies issues and develops effective solutions, displaying critical thinking and resourcefulness.Maintains high standards of accuracy and thoroughness in work, ensuring quality outcomes.Takes ownership of responsibilities and outcomes, demonstrating reliability and commitment to meeting deadlines.Takes proactive steps to improve processes, suggest new ideas, and contribute to the organization's success without waiting for direction.What we offer: We are curious minds that come from a broad range of backgrounds, perspectives, and life experiences.
