Next Ventures is seeking an IT Product Owner for a contract role with our client in Ireland.

Location: Galway, Ireland
Duration: 6 months + extensions
Travel: full time onsite
Description:
* Define the product vision by articulating the scope and Minimum Viable Product (MVP) for all IT work efforts.
* Serve as the "voice of the function" by representing business interests at all key governance meetings and milestone reviews.
* Manage and prioritize the product backlog, working with the functional team to identify, add, change, and ensure the sequential release of features.
* Collaborate with technical teams to decompose features into "developer ready" requirements, including user stories, blueprints, and epics.
* Complete the formal hand-off of accepted, "developer ready" work to IT Leads for their release planning and execution.
* Partner with the functional team to ensure sufficient representation and involvement throughout the entire discovery, design, and development lifecycle.
* Define and confirm acceptance criteria for all deliverables and coordinate with the test team to support effective User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
* Attend all required SCRUM events (including planning and retrospectives) and manage the necessary re-prioritization of the feature list after each sprint.
* Identify and proactively manage project constraints, including dependencies, bottlenecks, and roadblocks.
* Ensure regulatory compliance by collaborating with IT leads to perform necessary validation, Infosec, and privacy assessments, and oversee effective Hypercare processes post-launch.
