An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Learning & Development Specialist to join the Talent Development team at one of Ireland's leading law firms. In this role, you will contribute to the design and delivery of customised L&D programmes that support professional growth and enhance performance across the firm. Managed by the Talent Development team, the ALG School delivers a wide range of customised programmes that support the growth and success of our people.The role offers the right candidate the chance to join a high-performing, collaborative team committed to excellence in the design and delivery of development programmes. The role has clear avenues for development within it, including taking on more responsibilities, leading more programmes, increased opportunities to facilitate and managing additional projects. Role and ResponsibilitiesA Talent Development Specialist is required to take ownership of and manage customised ALG School programmes. This includes:Managing internal stakeholdersLiaising with and managing external providers Contributing to the design and planning of custom programmes Being the key point of contact for participants Co-ordinating all aspects of assigned programmes, including: Communications Venue management Invoice and file management Attendance tracking Collation of feedback In addition, as a member of the Talent Development team, an L&D specialist is expected to:Work on dedicated projects within the team structure.Contribute to the firmwide induction programme. Take ownership of specific tasks that support the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the team.Actively maintain knowledge of L&D practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the initiatives provided by the ALG School.RequirementsA minimum of 3 years' experience in a high performing professional environment, with at least 2 years in an L&D role.Proven ability to manage the planning and delivery of L&D programmes and events to an excellent standard.Experience in facilitating within a learning environment an advantage.Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.Proven track record of being adaptable and handling multiple responsibilities at one time. Proven ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders. Self-driven. Ability to work unsupervised as part of a team. Proactive. Takes initiative rather than reacting to requests. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and strive for excellent results. A pragmatic and solutions orientated attitude to challenges.Creative in their approach to developing impactful learning solutions. Enjoys working in a team environment and a collaborative culture.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keenly collaborative style.A high level of discretion and trust with confidential information. Approachable and highly professional in manner. A relevant post-leaving certificate qualification required e.g. degree, diploma/certificate. A qualification in L&D an advantage.
