Dublin based documentary production company True Films is currently seeking a full-time experienced Researcher/Assistant Producer to join our tight-knit team to work on some upcoming documentary productions. The role requires research on the ground in a busy environment and sourcing interesting personalities and exploring their stories for consideration in future filming. Applicants should be good listeners, have a strong interest in documentary storytelling and have an open mind. The successful candidate should show great initiative and strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive relationships with contributors.

Responsibilities include:
* Sourcing, researching and filming short videos of potential contributors.
* Writing character breakdowns and briefing the Producer and Director.
* Ability to work independently, under pressure and to specific deadlines.
* Assisting on shoots.
* Willingness to work flexible hours.
Desired Skills:
* Experience working in factual/documentary television, radio or online media.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work under pressure as part of a busy team and meet deadlines.
* A full clean driver’s licence is desirable.
* Previous experience of camera operating is helpful.
