Focus Ireland is seeking a dedicated and empathetic professional to provide onsite support to families living in emergency accommodation. In this vital role, you’ll be a key part of helping families move from crisis to stability. You’ll work directly with families to assess their needs, offer tailored support, and advocate on their behalf – all with the goal of guiding them toward secure, long-term housing.
This position offers a hybrid working model, with one work from home day per week following successful completion of probation.

What You Will Do
* To work within the framework of the overall objectives of Focus Ireland.
* Manage an allocated caseload and adhere to care and case management processes and protocols.
* Carry out assessments and reviews and develop and implement support plans with families referred to the service.
* To work within a client-centred, psychologically informed environment and trauma informed approach, encouraging autonomy and independence.
* Maintain accurate records and statistics in accordance with Focus Ireland policy. To work with and under the supervision and direction of the line management within the project.
* Make contact with and establish links as appropriate with local services and relevant community groups and to work closely with emergency accommodation and housing providers.
* Be familiar with and comply with all relevant Focus Ireland policy e.g. Child Protection Policy, Confidentiality Policy, Customer Complaints Policy, Health and Safety Policy, Personnel Policy.
* Be vigilant to any Health, Safety and Welfare risks in the workplace and bring any concerns to the attention of your Line Manager or Health & Safety representative.
* Attend and contribute to Team, Section and Agency meetings as required.
What You Will Need
* A relevant third level qualification at degree level i.e. social care, psychology, sociology.
* Proven experience working in a social care setting.
* Full clean driver’s license and use of car (Desirable)
* Experience of dealing with child protection and welfare responsibilities and responding appropriately to any concerns. (Desirable)
* Experience in carrying out assessments, including risk assessments. (Desirable)
* Ability to manage challenging behaviour. (Desirable)
