Job Title: Bookkeeper
Location: Cork City (hybrid)
Job Summary
Maintain accurate financial records and support the finance team by processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and assisting with month-end activities. The role ensures financial data is reliable, organised, and ready for reporting and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Record daily financial transactions (sales, purchases, receipts, payments).
2. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
3. Perform regular bank and general ledger reconciliations.
4. Prepare schedules and assist with month-end close tasks.
5. Code and post transactions in accounting software.
6. Assist with basic reporting and audit preparation.
7. Maintain organised and compliant financial documentation.
Qualifications & Skills
8. Experience: 1–3+ years in bookkeeping or a related role.
9. Software: Proficiency with accounting systems (e.g., Xero, Sage, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
10. Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
11. Good organisational and communication skills.
