Job Title: Trainee Solicitor atByrne Wallace Shields LLP Department: Rotating Annual remuneration: - €38k per annum Location: 88 Harcourt Street, Dublin 2 Hours of work: 36.25 per week Contract:Please note that the job is on Fix Term Contract with possibility to be permanent Academic/Professional Qualification Requirements: Law or relevant degree, completion of all FE1s. NUMBER OF YEARS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Appropriate work experience that demonstrates their potential for Trainee Solicitor. Key responsibilities, under the supervision of an Associate Solicitor/Partner, and role will vary depending on the practice area the Trainee is assigned to: Assist the Supervising Solicitor as required. Carry out legal research on cases as assigned. Assist in the preparation and collation of briefs Liaise with clients and attend meetings as required by the supervising Solicitor. Provide support for all administration tasks as required, including photocopying, filing of documents Observation of Court attendances as required. File Management and Archiving Keep up to date with the law in relation to the practice area you are assigned, and in new legal developments, through attending CPD sessions and other training provided by the firm. Successful participation on the Fused PPPC Law Society course. Risk Management Maintain awareness of your role in managing professional risk issues. Comply with all of the Firm's policies & procedures; attend risk briefings & support Firm-wide risk management initiatives. Adhere to the file review and closure process and ensure all open and in-active matters are reviewed and closed as appropriate. Support the implementation of the Firm's LEXCEL System. Information Security Support implementation of the Firms Information Security Management and comply with the Firms Information Security Statement 5. Adhere to data classifications and handling rules 6. Report Breach of Policy, Incident or Security Weakness 7. Comply with the ISMS-04 Users Information Security Policy Statements Staff may be requested to carry out such reasonable tasks as may from time to time occur.
