Mechanical Facilities Technician Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Facilities Technician to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a Pharmaceutical assignment located in Ringaskiddy, Cork.

The role is initially a 12-month contract and involves working with various mechanical systems including water systems, boilers, chillers, cooling towers, steam distribution, low-pressure hot water, and door management.

* Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical systems.
* Maintain mechanical assets for the WWTP, including pumps, mixers, pipework, and related systems.

Additional responsibilities include supporting mechanical system upgrades, modifications, and project activities, as well as overseeing maintenance of drainage systems, sprinkler systems, and safety-related equipment.

The successful candidate will have strong communication and team collaboration abilities, effective problem-solving skills, and a trade qualification or Mechanical Engineering degree.

Required Skills and Qualifications

* Trade qualification or Mechanical Engineering degree
* Minimum of 10 years experience in facilities/utilities management within GMP or regulated environments
* Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems (chillers, boilers, process piping, utilities distribution)
* Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical equipment
* Effective communication and team collaboration abilities
