Job Description:
To be an integral part of the John Stone Fine Food team in delivering carefully packed, hand selected beef straight to the customer. For more information on delivery, please view our website - https://johnstonebeefshop.com/pages/about-delivery.
In line with current restrictions, all deliveries are contactless, and strict adherence to correct hygiene is essential. As and when necessary you will also be required to work within the factory to carry out the duties of a general operative. This means you will play a key role in production, storage, cleaning, Health & Safety and all other tasks as directed by management.
REPORTING TO General Manager
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES and REQUIREMENTS
Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to the following:
· You will be required to deliver our product to our customers across Ireland in a professional, timely, polite and safe manner
· Operate and maintain company vehicle safely and efficiently
· Manage all requirements for loading, unloading, transporting and driving
· Prepare accurate paperwork and records regarding deliveries - Paper work CMR’s need to be collected from transport office and signed by the customers and handed into the Johnstone office on a daily basis
· Working for extended periods of time in cold/chilled areas
· Lift weights of at least 15kgs, stand for 4+ hours and drive for lengthy periods of time
· Full clean driving license and possess a good geographical knowledge of areas serviced
· Conversational English and excellent communication skills
· Flexibility and ability to manage change, ability to work on own initiative, methodical and logical approach to work practice and ability to work in fast moving changing environment is essential
· Previous experience in similar role an advantage, but not required
· All other reasonable duties as instructed by supervisor/manager
