Job Description

The role of a Commissioning Engineer is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of power systems. As a Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance to the commissioning manager and project delivery team.

You will be working on large-scale M&E projects and hyperscale Data Centre projects across the UK, Ireland, and Europe. Your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Assisting the Commissioning Manager by receiving commissioning fault calls from the commissioning team.
2. Reviewing client/customer technical specifications and drawings, working closely with the project team.
3. Participating in project/commissioning meetings and progress meetings with clients and consultants.
4. Carrying out site surveys and reporting.
5. Carrying out generator factory acceptance testing.
6. Supervising the installation of generator systems.
7. Completing testing and commissioning of generator systems to customer, consultants, and end users.
8. Providing technical support in the production of risk assessments, method statements, and test documents.
9. Technical support and assistance to internal engineering department teams.

A strong understanding of electrical systems and principles is essential for this role. You must also have excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, as well as the ability to work well in a team and collaborate effectively with colleagues.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual who can provide technical expertise and ensure the successful delivery of power systems projects.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Relevant degree or diploma in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems and principles.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Full UK driving license.
