**Part-Time Bookkeeper/Accountant Role

We are seeking a highly experienced bookkeeper/accountant to join our team on a part-time basis (2-3 days per week). The role involves performing bank reconciliations, managing accounts payable/receivable, and posting general ledger entries. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and submitting VAT returns in compliance with Irish regulations, assisting with payroll processing, and ensuring accurate submission of PAYE returns.
">Key Responsibilities:
* Perform bank reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable management, and general ledger postings
* Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with Irish regulations
* Assist with payroll processing and ensure accurate submission of PAYE returns
* Prepare management accounts, financial statements, and year-end accounts for clients
* Support the preparation of corporate and personal tax returns
* Analyse financial data and provide insights to clients for decision-making purposes
">Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles (minimum 23 years preferred)
* Irish practice experience is essential
* Proficiency in software e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, Relate, and Thesaurus Payroll, Microsoft Excel
* Strong understanding of Irish VAT, PAYE, and tax regulations
* Excellent attention to detail, organisational, and time management skills
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present financial data
* Effective communication skills for liaising with clients and stakeholders
* A professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, ACA) or bookkeeping certification is an advantage
