The Design or Project Engineer role in our Limerick or Galway office at TOBIN requires a minimum Level 8 Honours Degree qualification in Civil/Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
We are open to reviewing candidates with varying levels of experience, typically between 3-6 years, depending on knowledge and skills gained throughout their career.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Liaise with Clients to deliver required designs upon direction from the Project Manager.
* Review documents and designs prepared by Graduate Engineers.
* Prepare and review preliminary designs and reports using computer packages, followed by detailed design drawings and specifications.
* Procure Site Investigation, Building and Civil Engineering Contracts as directed.
* Assist Project Managers in tender document preparation and assessment.
* Administer construction contracts to ensure design requirements, project schedules, and project budget are met.
* Take instruction from Line Managers, Project Managers, and senior team members as needed.
Required Skills:
* Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills.
* Proficient in AutoCAD 2D, with aptitude to develop skills in AutoCAD 3D and Building Information Modelling (BIM) using Autodesk REVIT.
* Capable of developing skills in MicroDrainage, Microsoft Access, and GIS software like ArcGIS and MapInfo.
* Working knowledge of construction contracts, such as PWMF Forms of Contract.
* Familiarity with Microsoft Project, MicroDrainage, and other relevant software packages.
