Overview
An established FMCG business is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer with strong electrical experience to support the reliability and performance of its processing plant. This is a long‑term opportunity for an engineer who values stability, structured maintenance, and working within a professional engineering function.
The role operates on a Monday-Friday shift pattern with additional earning potential through shift premium and overtime opportunities.
Responsibilities
Fault finding, diagnosing, and repairing electrical and mechanical issues across production and process equipment
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with site schedules
Supporting production teams to minimise downtime and improve equipment reliability
Accurately recording maintenance work for compliance and audit purposes
Maintaining engineering stores, spares, and tools in an organised and safe manner
Contributing to continuous improvement, plant efficiency, and site safety initiatives
Supporting general site and building maintenance as required
Upholding high standards of health, safety, hygiene, and environmental compliance
Criteria
Recognised electrical qualification / completed apprenticeship - essential
Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Good job stability and longevity in previous roles highly preferred
Ability to work independently while contributing positively to an engineering team
Strong problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance
