Our client is a well-established, multi-entity organisation operating across Ireland and Northern Ireland. The group is financially strong, highly acquisitive, and operates within a federated structure with centralised financial governance. The finance team is collaborative, experienced, and known for its strong culture and long tenure.This role sits within the Group Financial Reporting team and is ideal for a technically strong accountant who can take ownership of key reporting cycles, support multiple business units, and operate confidently in a complex environment.ResponsibilitiesMonth-End & Technical AccountingFull ownership of month-end processes with strong balance sheet control.Manage the fixed asset register and all IFRS 16 lease accounting.Prepare and review journals, reconciliations, and technical schedules.Present monthly technical accounting insights to specialist divisions.Statutory Reporting & AuditPrepare statutory accounts for multiple legal entities.Act as primary contact for external and internal auditors.Support senior leadership during the annual audit cycle (Jan-Feb).Budgeting, Forecasting & Group SupportSupport reforecasting and annual budget processes.Prepare IFRS 16-related inputs for new leases and acquisitions.Assist on acquisition accounting and consolidation tasks.Stakeholder Engagement & Process ImprovementBuild strong relationships with divisional finance teams across ROI and NI.Provide clear, confident technical accounting guidance.Review and improve financial controls, processes, and reporting systems.ExperienceQualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CPA or equivalent).Ideally Big 4/Top 6 trained with 3+ years PQE.Strong technical accounting skills, especially IFRS 16.Experience preparing statutory accounts and leading audit interactions.Exposure to multi-entity/group environments preferred.Strong communication skills with confidence engaging senior stakeholders.ERP experience essential (any major system acceptable).What Success Looks LikeReliable, accurate month-end delivery.Strong technical ownership of IFRS 16.Smooth management of statutory accounts and audit cycles.Effective relationships with divisional teams and senior leadership.Demonstrated independence and ability to operate with minimal support.BenefitsCompetitive salary & bonusPension & healthcareHybrid workingEmployee discounts & wellbeing supportsEducation assistanceTo discover more click to apply.*Please note visa sponsorship is not available and applicants must be eligible to work in Ireland*
